SPCA Donation Trailer -- Friday November 20th, 2009
The SPCA donation trailer parked at Ace Hardware has been the site where many of you have brought donations for our recent barn sale. Ace Hardware has given us permission to park the trailer there over the winter. At present we are not scheduling another Barn Sale in Cuddy Valley. Please give your donations to the Name your Price Thrift Store in Lebec or to the Shelter on the Hill Thrift Store in Frazier Park.

Nov. 13 - 15 Barn Sale -- Friday November 13th, 2009
We will be holding our next barn sale on November 13, 14, and 15. Please continue to donate to the trailer located in the lower level of Ace Hardware in Frazier Park. You can also call Robin at 245-3035 to arrange for a pickup of your items.
2nd AngelDog Cat Spay/Neu -- Saturday October 24th, 2009
SPCA, with AngelDogs Foundation, sponsored a spay/neuter event for cats October 24, 2009. Sixty-five cats were scheduled for the procedure. This means that 125 cats were fixed this summer and will not be contributing to the breeding population in seasons to come.
We have made a significant dent in the number of cats that owners would still like to be fixed.
Please stay tuned for other spay/neuter events for cats and dogs. We will resume clinics in the spring when the winter weather and bad roads makes scheduling so unpredictable.

Only $55 for spay/neuter which includes microchipping and a rabies vaccination. What a deal! Low-income pet owners may apply for financial help.
Cats: Bi-weekly trips are planned to transport cats to FixNation.

Donation Trailer Opening -- Monday March 16th, 2009
Mountain Communities SPCA invites the Frazier Mountain Communities to our celebration of our donation trailer which will be parked at Ace Hardware in Frazier Park. Festivities, which include our first dog and cat adoption event, begin a 9:00 a.m. and run until 12:00 p.m.
Special thanks go to Ace Hardware who have generously allowed Mountain Communities spca parking space in their lower parking yard.
"We are very grateful to Ace Hardware," said Treasurer Robin Horowitz.
The donation trailer is available to anyone wishing to leave saleable items for the spca's Barn Sale event, held this spring May 15, 16, and 17th.
