Welcome to the Mountain Communities SPCA website! 

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, stray and neglected dogs and cats in the Frazier Mountain communities.  We provide temporary foster homes, arrange permanent adoptions, obtain veterinary care including spay/neuter, and offer education on the humane treatment of animals.

We are located where Kern, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties

meet at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley in Central California.

Fall Barn Sale

Our November Barn Sale held at the home of Mike and Robin Horowitz in Cuddy Valley was a wonderful success.  We have added to our meager treasury again, which will allow us to consider spay/neuter procedures on dogs on a case by case basis.  It is easier, and cheaper, for us to spay/neuter cats.

We invite you to contact us if your pet needs spay/neutering.  We say yes every time we can and that depends on the treasury.

Our donation trailer  is in hibernation and will be available to receive donations next Spring.
